Welcome to Dorina Tila’s Professional Page. You can learn more about her in the short bio below, as well as her contributions in the research, service, and teaching.

Dorina Tila has completed the Ph.D. in Economics and post-doctoral through the selection and funding of the International Foundation for Research in Experimental Economics (IFREE) established by Nobel Laureate Dr. Vernon Smith at George Mason University. After working in international transfer pricing and international taxation in large accounting firms, such as Deloitte and Ernst & Young, she returned to academia as a full-time faculty member at Kingsborough Community College in 2014. Since then, she has been focusing on how to improve teaching and student learning in various teaching modalities, using technological tools, impelementing economic experiments and research activities into classroom, adopting Open Educational Resources, adopting efficient and ethical use of generative artificial intellegince, as well as nurturing growth mindset. She has been inquiring systematically into student learning and how the variations in pedagogical tools could improve teaching practices in higher education.
